(BSB-2016) Berean Standard Bible

The Berean Standard Bible is a contemporary English translation, made for reading aloud, study and memorization.

The work was produced with Bible Hub, Discovery Bible, OpenBible.com and the Berean Bible Translation Committee.

The New Testament circulated from 2016. Later printings, including the complete Bible, also carry the years 2020 onward. This site’s abbreviation keeps 2016, the year the text began to be published.

Each word is connected back to the Hebrew or the Greek, so the reader can check the root meaning. That is the aim stated in the editions printed by Bible Hub.

For some years quotation had a verse limit. On 30 April 2023 the text was dedicated to the public domain.

The official terms page says that all uses are free, including copying, adaptation and print publication.

An attribution notice is appreciated, but it is not required. The suggested wording names Bible Hub and the translation committee.

The copyright still printed on some old PDFs applies to those outdated files, not to the text dedicated in 2023.

It is not the King James Version, nor Darby. The English is today’s, and the licence is the 2023 public-domain declaration.
